To assist individuals and families in making the economic, psychological and cultural adjustment to a new land, not only by meeting basic needs, but also by helping them to become active participants in this society. Central to the IIC's vision are an inclusive, nonsectarian philosophy, a model of self-help and a commitment to community-based empowerment.

The IIC fulfills this mission by acting independently and in collaboration with a multitude of organizations and individuals who support our goals.
