IIC is a nonprofit charitable organization funded by grants and tax-deductible contributions. It is the only Irish organization in the United States that is accredited by the US Department of Justice to represent immigrants before the federal immigration authorities.

IIC has prepared a guide and consultation service to focus your thinking on the relevant issues under US immigration law if you plan to do business in the United States.

The key point is this: do not procrastinate. Getting the proper authorization for your employees to do business in the US can be a lengthy process that is both complicated and labor-intensive.

You also need to keep in mind that immigration law issues are only one piece of the puzzle for companies planning operations in the US. Please remember to consult other resources to help you with issues involving taxation, corporation law, environmental, labor, and other regulatory requirements.

IIC´s brief guide addresses the immigration law issues that arise over the short, medium, and long term time-frames. Depending on your business plans, you will know at a glance what options are open to you and learn about the key features of the various visas involved: eligibility requirements, advantages and disadvantages, periods of admission, fees, issues involving accompanying dependents, and so on.
