Substance Abuse is a major impediment to the success of many young men and women in our community and we work hard to help these individuals overcome their difficulties with, and in, complete confidence.
The IIC provides free, confidential, one-on-one counseling to any individual concerned with their substance use. We are also able to Counsel those who are affected by someone else’s use of substances. This compassionate and nonjudgmental service offers the following:
- Help in reducing or eliminating substance abuse and encouragement in making positive, lasting changes
- Support in dealing with other problems, such as lack of confidence, anxiety, family difficulties, and mental health issues, that may be caused by your or a loved one’s substance abuse
- Referral to other specialist services, as appropriate, including relapse prevention services at Maria Droste
- Assistance in providing accessible resources and referrals in Ireland to continue to gain recovery and support, should you decide to return there
- Detox Referrals and support
- TSS Services
- Information on Self-Help Groups such as AA and AAWOL
If you have questions about our services and how it might help you or a loved one, or if you’d like to make an appointment, please contact our Substance Abuse Coordinator Danielle Owen LADC II at (617) 542-7654 ext. 14 or email: questions@iicenter.org.
